About the Role
We're seeking a strategic and creative Customer Marketing Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll serve as the bridge between our customer success organization and their business and revenue goals, as well as our marketing initiatives.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure you are directly supporting the revenue and net retention goals of the customer success organization across key areas of growth, including Increasing feature usage, supporting upsells and expansions, marketing major new features, and driving strong customer awareness, engagement, and loyalty. This could be capturing customer stories, creating ROI-driven, powerful case studies, or developing hardworking campaigns demonstrating our solutions' real-world value across various customer-facing channels.
Responsibilities
We believe in empowering our team members. As our Customer Marketing Manager, you will help us meet our net retention goals and be relentlessly focused on engaging, retaining, and expanding our customer base by:
- Co-design and execute a comprehensive customer marketing roadmap with marketing leadership that aligns with our overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
- Develop strong customer targeting lists and campaign cadence strategies, collaborating closely with CSMs, marketing, and product marketing on targeting and success criteria.
- Develop and manage a robust customer reference database, identifying key customers whose stories will resonate most with our target audience.
- Partner with the customer success organization to support developing and launching a customer advisory board.
- Collaborate with the product marketing team to gather customer insights and feedback, ensuring VOCs are incorporated into our product messaging and positioning.
- Create engaging and enlightening campaigns that support our objectives and address our customer's needs; reduce friction to engage; try new modes and mechanisms of communication with customers; test and learn new ways of communicating with customers.
- Establishing metrics and reporting frameworks to measure the success of customer marketing initiatives and their impact on business objectives and customer health metrics.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring marketing expertise, technical know-how, and a customer-focused mindset.
- 3+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on customer marketing or similar roles in the SaaS industry.
- Strong experience building/managing processes with project management and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Appcues, Navattic, or similar).
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful customer marketing programs that drive engagement and strong business results.
- Strong writing skills with experience creating compelling customer narratives
- Collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional teams.
