This week, we investigated the number of minutes an average field rep spent per visit. The data was extracted across five different industry categories: consumer packaged goods - CPG in food and beverage, other CPG outside of food such as apparel and electronics, field services, medical and pharmaceuticals, and other industries such as property management and field sales & marketing.
According to the analysis, field representatives in the miscellaneous industries spent the longest time per visit by 65 minutes per visit. Findings were similar across the board with CPG organizations outside of food and beverage, field services, and medical and pharmaceutical organizations - 46 min, 45 min, and 44 min respectively. In last place was CPG organizations in food and beverage with an average of 40 minutes per visit.
