Last week, we looked into regional differences in the distribution of activities conducted by field reps around the world. This week, we will explore the differences in activity distribution between 5 different industries - CPG food & beverage, CPG outside of food like clothing/furniture, field services, medical/pharma, and other industries including property management and field sales & marketing. Forms of activities include of filling out mobile forms, taking orders, audits or inspections, recording client notes and taking photos.
Much of the data isn't surprising - you wouldn't expect medical sales reps to be conducting audits but you expect them to use client notes actively. All across the board, audits and orders were least used by reps. As expected, photos were most popular in CPG industries for merchandising products.
