Every culture has its own distinct style of conducting sales and business. While some cultures operate on quick, transactional business styles, others rely on long-term, relationship cultivating styles. This week we’ve investigated the average amount of time a field representative spends one each visit. The data was extracted from the Repsly database of customers in over 40 different countries in a wide variety of industries, from field sales and marketing, to retail merchandising, to contractor services, sales, and field maintenance.
From our analysis, we’ve found that field representatives in the Asia Pacific region spend the longest on each of their client visits. On average, a field representative in the Asia Pacific spends 52.5 minutes per visit, which is nearly double the amount of time a representative in the USA spends, which is 28.3 minutes! After the APAC region, Africa trails behind for the longest time per visit with 48.1 minutes along with Europe, which has 46.2 minutes.
Latin America is almost at a tie with the United States for the shortest amount of time – 29.5 minutes per visit. All in all, there is a big discrepancy between the Americas and the rest of the world – 20 minutes to be exact when you compare the two averages.
