Field Data Insight: Average Number of Customer Visits Around the World

Field reps using Repsly complete over 100,000 customer visits every week. They range in industry, from field sales and marketing, to retail merchandising, to contractor services, sales, and field maintenance. This week, we’ve taken a look at a simple metric that most field organizations use to measure the productivity of their field teams: Average number of visits completed per rep per day. We went one step further and looked at these averages across five regions around the world: Europe, Africa, Asia/Pacific, Latin America and the U.S.

What we found is that representatives in Europe complete more visits per day than their American counterparts, outpacing the U.S. by 8.6% with 7.95 visits/rep/day versus 7.32 in the U.S.  But don't celebrate this victory quite yet! As reps in Latin America are 20.6% more productive than Europeans, and 31% more productive than Americans, completing an average of 9.59 visits/rep/day!

The Asia Pacific region and Africa bring up the rear with an average of 6.09 visits in APAC, and only 5.44 across Africa.

Next week, we’ll take a look at how much time reps spend at each visit they make.
