While it's undoubtedly one of the busiest times of the year, it's not always easy gearing up for work during the holiday season. For a laugh, here's what it can feel like at work - as told by The Office's Michael Scott,
- Waking up early to go to work when all your friends and family are on vacation
- And thinking about all the fun they are going to have without you.
- You get to work, you try and have a better attitude about things.
- But then you see Christmas decorations and start thinking about all the Christmas decorating and shopping you haven’t done
- Your boss walks by to wish you happy holidays as you sit at your desk
- You decide to multitask and do some online Christmas shopping and remember why you have to be at work in the first place
- And then you start to justify not doing anything because of the holidays
- But, you remember all the work you actually have to do
- You check the clock to see if its almost lunch but realize you haven’t even been at work for an hour
- You eventually decide that there is nothing that can console your holiday blues
- You spend your time wondering if your boss will magically give you extra time off
- Your try to be cordial when your co-workers start inviting you to their holiday festivities.
13. A point in the day comes where you look for someone to cover for you in a panic when you can’t take it anymore
14. Like a trooper, you decide to stick it out for the rest of the day.
15. You look out the window dreaming of holiday merriment
16. And see you have two more hours
17. But the second five o’clock rolls around you are the first one out the door to embrace your holiday freedom.
